Your photographer will be one of the most important parts of your day.
The planning can take moths and some times takes place nearly a year or more in advance and all the work and time to get anything ready as your cake, your decorations, the menu, your dress, the guest list, the DJ, your makeup, your hair, your honeymoon, etcetera and when the day is through it’ll seem like it only took a moment to live through.
But, when all the food is gone, the flowers have wilted, the cake has been eaten, the guest are gone and the dress preserved or at the storage. The only tangible things you will have for the rest of your life are your wedding pictures, your pictures will serve as the memories you remember, have forgotten or never experienced.

Why Should We Take Engagement Photos?

There are many reasons it is important to take engagement photos once you have become engaged.
As a couple who likely has never been photographed professionally before, the engagement session is a valuable tool every couple should utilize even if they just to be familiar with a camera over them before. Some couples may feel it’s a waste or is not necessary, however there are many valuable reasons why you will utilizing this opportunity.
First feel comfortable in front of the camera, let the photographer know what you like, what is your best side, also if is something you want to avoid, can let your photographer know ahead of time if there are shots or angles you do not care for, also you can let your photographer know the things that you do like, What makes them laugh ?, communication is key.
Have fun, and show their love for one another.
Establishing a relationship with your photographer long before your wedding will make a difference in the outcome of your wedding images.
They are not just important for their memory-value, but they will make your wedding photographs better
Your photographer will be the wedding vendor that you have the most amount of contact with.  If you can’t stand the photographer, and they are following you everywhere on your wedding day, chances are some of your irritation will translate to your pictures
Have your engagement photos taken at a location that is important or that has some meaning to the two of you. This could be a place you got engaged or a first date, it could be at a place you both like to spend time, or something you like to do together such as a shared interest: Their hometowns, the college where they met, a favorite restaurant or bar, a museum, the zoo, a movie theater, or as simple as the home where they live.
Have your hair and makeup test done on the same day as your engagement session. This way you get to see how your hair and make look in photos and you can let your hail and makeup people know if there is anything you would like to change.

Bridal Session
The Bride in her dress is the star.  For brides who want tons of pictures of their perfect look, This can be done early the same day of the wedding or some days before so completing the majority of the pictures before that day or before the ceremony allows the couple to spend the most time possible with their guests, and at the reception.
Chose a couple of places to help to contrast the dress, again have fun, relax, enjoy your self.

Journalism coverage
It is when the photographer use an alternative approach where the images are captured spontaneously to emphasize moments and emotions, also is the one you have the photographer all day around you, some times you get tired of get the camera over yoy all time you have to be prepared.

When to Take Wedding Pictures

The easiest time to take the wedding party pictures is before the ceremony.  The makeup and hair is impeccable, the suits haven’t wrinkled, and the guests haven’t arrived, consider take what is known as “first look” pictures the first time the couple sees each other in their wedding attire, Understandably, if many brides don’t choose this because they want their “first look” to be at the ceremony.

Shot the “day after” the wedding (optional)

This is a great timesaver if you don’t want to spend the majority of the wedding day taking pictures.  The bride and the groom are more relaxed, and it shows!

Trash the Dress (optional)
Varies from aggressive “trashing” with brides engaging in paintball or mud wrestling, to the more genteel trashing of walking through ocean surf or swimming in a lake.

Boudoir Session (optional)
For the highly confident bride who wants to give her husband  something special and private to commemorate the occasion
